I honor you for your courage

Hello this is shoe1000.  I havent posted in a while.  Busy.  The first thing I want to say is I think many people think that I am the only one writing on here.  I know, I know you werent the one and only one who thought that!  But however few of you there are, I want to make it clear that we have two other wonderful bloggers on here.  Fanatic and Nomadlander. I will continue to try and put their names on the top of the post at that time.

It is not often that I come across stories that move me.  But I have read a few tonight  as well as some from some of my dear friends here as I sit  in blog world.

    • Robyn Lee,
I could not let this day go by without acknowledging you for your guts, courage and indomitable spirit. Your story moves me and I thank you sincerely for being so open about your journey.
      Inner Peace to us.

  1. Dear Shoe1000, I second your nomination for Beatensub… My friend, the angel, Gabriel (Alex) 👼… His courage and empathy surpass sooo many! He’s a survivor and speaks for so many of us! So cheers to Gabriel.. So many people’s angel…. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  2. Dear Shoe, As I wrote in my response on my blog, I’m honored and blessed by your award. It is such a gift to be connected to such real and loving people like you. The past few weeks have been especially thick with grief and new layers of uncovered past emotion, and so I’ve been more raw and vulnerable. Your award is such an encouragement to not only share the healing side of recovery, but also the dark and messy side. Thank you for that inspiration and reminder.

Your heart is so clear and open, and I know our new blog friendship will continue to grow.

    • I put my hand in yours
      And together we can do,
What we could never do alone.
No longer is there a sense of hopelessness
No longer must we each depend
      Upon our own unsteady willpower.
      We are all together now,
      Reaching out our hands
For power and strength greater than our own.
      And, as we join hands,
      We find love and understanding
      Beyond our wildest dreams.

      • Wow. You have such a gift with words…

Once the isolation is broken and the shame loses it’s grip, we realize the prison door locks from the inside. Life began for me in that moment of realization.

Thank you for sharing this with me.

  3. Well, thanks a lot Shoo, you’ve now given me ten more blogs to check out. It’s no wonder why I can’t get anything else done. 🙂
